Veracruz,( beɾaˈkɾus ) formally Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave (Spanish pronunciation: [beɾaˈkɾus ðe iɣˈnasjo ðe la ˈʝaβe]), officially Free and Sovereign State of Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave (Spanish: Estado Libre y Soberano de Veracruz de Ignacio de la Llave), is one of the 31 states that, along with the Federal District, comprise the 32 federative entities of Mexico. It is divided in 212 municipalities and its capital city is Xalapa-Enríquez.
This state is located in Eastern Mexico. It is bordered by the states of Tamaulipas to the north, San Luis Potosí and Hidalgo to the west, Puebla to the southwest, Oaxaca and Chiapas to the south, and Tabasco to the southeast. On its east, Veracruz has a significant share of the coastline of the Gulf of Mexico.
The state is noted for its mixed ethnic and indigenous populations. Its cuisine reflects the many cultural influences that have come through the state because of the importance of the port of Veracruz.
In addition to the capital city, the state's largest cities include Veracruz, Coatzacoalcos, Córdoba, Minatitlán, Poza Rica, Boca Del Río and Orizaba.
Art is a diverse range of human activities in creating visual, auditory or performing artifacts – artworks, expressing the author's imaginative or technical skill, intended to be appreciated for their beauty or emotional power. In their most general form these activities include the production of works of art, the criticism of art, the study of the history of art, and the aesthetic dissemination of art.
The oldest form of art are visual arts, which include creation of images or objects in fields including painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and other visual media. Architecture is often included as one of the visual arts; however, like the decorative arts, it involves the creation of objects where the practical considerations of use are essential—in a way that they usually are not in a painting, for example. Music, theatre, film, dance, and other performing arts, as well as literature and other media such as interactive media, are included in a broader definition of art or the arts. Until the 17th century, art referred to any skill or mastery and was not differentiated from crafts or sciences. In modern usage after the 17th century, where aesthetic considerations are paramount, the fine arts are separated and distinguished from acquired skills in general, such as the decorative or applied arts.

Walking the City was just great. Seeing the way of life from the local perspective is the way to learn and understand the way of life in that city, people and the culture. Great place, yet too much of modern means of life has been introduced hence the cultural meaning of values are slowly fading away. This is the case every where in the world.

Take a short walking highlights tour in the city of Veracruz with Mike Vondruska. The city of Veracruz is located on the Gulf of Mexico 250 miles east of Mexico City. Veracruz city has been called the "Gateway to Mexico" because of its deep water port. Cargo ships have docked here ever since the Spanish conquered Mexico in the early 1500's. When visiting the city of Veracruz, be prepared to speak Spanish because very few people there speak English. Also, exchange your foreign currency for Mexican Pesos. Almost everywhere US dollars will not be accepted. Here are some of the Highlights you will see during this quick walking tour: - Plaza de Armas (the main central plaza) - Malecon (the prominade near the ocean) - Cafe de la Parroquia - San Juan de Ulua fortress - El Baluarte de San...

This Rappel & SUP Adventure in Veracruz, Mexico takes place about 100 miles south of the port city of Veracruz along the Gulf of Mexico coast. It is a tropical and very rural area. Think - No cell phone service or internet. With my friend, Claudia and our guide, Paciano, we rappelled 40 meters/120 feet off a cliff overlooking the ocean into a bobbing boat. Then we headed off down a lazy river on stand up paddleboards. This Rappel & SUP Adventure in Veracruz, Mexico is geared for anyone; even if you have never done either before. As you will find out, this was the first time for my friend, Claudia to hang off a cliff and also balance on an SUP. Losing your balance on the board while practicing is just part of the fun. VICE doesn't really care about Mel's movie, but we were quite enchanted by the idea of a town that has gotten such a huge reputation for its witchcraft that even politicians and celebrities from all over Mexico have gone to seek for their cures and powers.
